Castle Hill Lighthouse

Overlooking Narragansett bay in Newport, Rhode Island, Castle Hill Lighthouse was completed in 1890. It is still used as a navigation aid to this day, guiding vessels through the East Passage between Conanicut Island and Aquidneck Island.
Design
The design features a digitally-altered photograph with an impressionist / oil painted style. The state outline is created with a series of high resolution digital brushstrokes and drips.
