The Bridges of Madison County
Madison County, the "Covered Bridge Capital of Iowa," is known for its quaint and Americana-defining covered bridges. The bridges were featured in the 1992 best-seller called (as you might have guessed) "The Bridges of Madison County" by Iowa-born author Robert James Weller.
