Indiana - The Hoosier State
Though the exact origin of the term "Hoosier" is not completely agreed-upon, the leading theories suggest that it was either a uniquely-pronounced greeting (who's here?) or a testament to the fighting prowess of the Indiana rivermen (when they "hush" their opponents they became known as the "hushers," or "Hoosiers" in your best 1830's Indiana accent).
The design features a digitally-altered photograph with an impressionist / oil painted style. The background has a subtle topographic base pattern. The state outline is created with a series of high resolution digital brushstrokes and drips.
